Coaching Community of Practice Network
The CIS Ontario Coaching Community of Practice Network is a a group of educators passionate about advancing coaching in CIS Ontario member schools to further the professional growth of all educators and staff. We believe in the power of solution-focused conversations. In our school communities, people's values, resourceful pasts and hopes for the future can be powerful tools to support individuals and our communities. How to have coaching conversations that are respectful and productive is a skill that can be learned. Please join us! We invite all CIS Ontario members to join regardless of experience or previous participation.
In 2021–2022, we focused on Developing the Leader Within; in 2022–2023, we focused on Developing the Coaching Mindset: Transformative and Collaborative Conversations; and last year, we looked at Teacher Growth and Instructional Coaching. Session materials from previous years is available in our Coaching Community of Practice Network Hub library on CISO Connect.
We hope to see you for the 2024–2025 Coaching sessions. You are invited to join all or as many sessions as you are able. Each session will offer a coaching skill and practice time. Although there are benefits to being able to attend all, we welcome you to attend according to your schedule.
2024–2025 Sessions

Some themes and conversations we are thinking of considering for 2024-2025 are:
- The power of asking the right questions
- The art of listening
- The words we choose to use
- The unspoken messages in the words we hear others use
Our 2024–2025 meeting dates are:

- Thursday, December 5th
- Thursday, January 16th
