Assistant to the Head of School Network

Few roles in a school community require the level of adaptability, organization, and relationship management demonstrated by assistants to the head of school and executive assistants. Anchored by the annual two-day Assistant to the Head of School Retreat each spring, this network provides opportunities for members to connect, collaborate, and engage in professional learning focused on the evolving demands of the role.

Through discussions and workshops, participants explore topics such as organizational leadership, communication strategies, emerging productivity tools, and approaches to well-being and resilience in high-responsibility environments.

As trusted partners in school leadership, assistants to the head of school play a vital role in shaping the culture and effectiveness of their organizations. Professional learning opportunities within this network are designed to support participants in strengthening their leadership presence, navigating complex and changing priorities, and building strategies for effective collaboration with multiple stakeholders across the school community.

Assistants to the head of school also have access to the members-only Assistant to the Head of School Network Hub within CISO Connect, our member community platform.
