Time to consult the experts? At the Unconference, it works a little differently.

The annual Unconference brings together the CIS Ontario community—educators and administrators with a wide range of experience—to learn from one another. It’s a powerful opportunity to accelerate thinking, share practice, and explore new ideas collaboratively.

Strand facilitators play a critical role, guiding dialogue around four topics of shared interest, pre-selected and voted on by participants. Conversations might explore the integration of design thinking, emerging and experiential technologies, or digital portfolios.

What sets the Unconference apart is its commitment to a collective output of learning. Insights and ideas generated through these conversations are captured and shared with the broader CIS Ontario community through post-conference infographics and session materials. The goal is not only to spark discussion, but to surface new opportunities that enhance the student experience. Explore past Impact Reports and Unconference resources to see this work in action.
