TechFest is a unique professional development opportunity for CIS Ontario school administrators, information and technology teams, communications and admissions departments and business office staff.  With sessions led by those working in the areas of information and innovation, education management systems, data analytics, privacy and data management, all teams from across your school will benefit from this cross-departmental collaboration and learning experience.

Spend 2 days connecting with your peers in a personal and meaningful way with sessions created based on community feedback. Previous conferences included discussions around creating a data culture in your school, meaningful communication with your whole community, deep dive technical sessions in Blackbaud Education Management Software, and a fireside chat with knowledge leaders in data, systems and technology.

TechFest 2020: Data, Systems & Technology CANCELLED

On March 12, 2020, Premier Ford, Minister Elliott, and Minister Lecce announced the closing of all publicly funded schools from March 14 - April 5, 2020. Click here to read the News Release from the Ontario government.

In order to help 'flatten the curve' and slow down the spread of COVID-19, CIS Ontario  is cancelling, postponing or revising all CIS Ontario and CISAA gatherings, programs and events until after Easter Break in mid-April. We will revisit all events that have been scheduled after April 14, 2020 in the weeks ahead.

At this time, if you registered to attend the TechFest conference you are advised that it has now been cancelled. If you booked accommodation at the preferred hotel, Anndore House you are advised to contact the venue and cancel your hotel reservation, please call the Reservations Department at 1-833-745-8370. We will reach out later in April to solicit your feedback as to when we may be able to revisit hosting this event.
