New Teacher Orientation Workshop

First day jitters? No problem. This workshop provides an introduction to independent schools for teachers new to the profession in our member schools and/or new experienced teachers to CIS Ontario schools. It's also an opportunity for teachers to make connections with educators within the member community and get a crash course on the culture of independent school life in Ontario. You'll also get pro tips on supporting learning.

The 2019 Workshop

The 2019 New Teacher Orientation Workshop, on October 2nd, was a great day of networking and learning, presented by Dr. Leanne Foster, Head of School, Trafalgar Castle. Our workshop attendees met at the BMO Institute for Learning and were introduced to Sarah Craig, Executive Director, CIS Ontario who gave a welcome and orientation to CIS Ontario. Dr. Foster then covered topics specific to success as an independent school educator. Please view the agenda for an outline of the day.

We look forward to meeting new CIS Ontario member school teachers at next year's Orientation Workshop.
