Executive Assistants’ Conference
There is no better multi-tasker in any organization; the executive assistant position is a critical one and is a leadership role that can make a real difference. This workshop will explore how your individual style impacts how you approach the role. You will learn how to ensure you're having a positive impact on the school community. We will also delve into how to efficiently manage the challenges of a demanding workload with changing priorities and multiple stakeholders through the use of effective conversations and communication strategies.
We are excited to announce a special
Professional Learning Virtual Well-being Series for Administrative Teams!
This new professional learning opportunity is open to both Executive Assistants to the Principal and Administrative Assistants in other roles. The 4 part series, focussed on supporting well-being at work, will highlight strategies for the entire administrative assistant team. Sessions will be chunked into 2 hour blocks spaced 2 weeks apart so that participants can embrace the learning, reflect and practice new strategies in between sessions. Breakout job-a-like groups will allow for detailed discussions and sharing amongst those who share common roles.
A SNAPSHOT OF THE EVENT
Leadership coach, Shauna Barnes, will lead participants through a virtual series:
- The opening session will include a chance to connect and create a shared experience within this community. Participants will delve into the topic: Exploring a deeper understanding of well-being and how to get more of it in your life.
- In subsequent interactive sessions we will explore:
- What is well-being?
- What changes do I want to make?
- What choices do I truly have?
- The relationship between leadership and well-being.
Regardless of your administrative role, your leadership skills are called upon on a daily basis in varied situations and interactions with a variety of individuals and groups within your school. The pandemic has challenged us with many new dynamics like working from home, increased use of technology and the implementation of COVID protocols in the workplace. This series is designed to give you the tools to support your well-being while navigating your portfolio at work and many priorities at home.
Each online session will end with Job-a-like discussions in job-specific breakout rooms. It is in this space where we may find solutions, new ideas and clarity that participants can bring back to their individual workplaces. By sharing our collective experience, expertise and knowledge, we all learn and grow as professionals.
