Cohort 21: Design Lab

For educators seeking to transform practice through action and innovation

The Cohort 21 Design Lab is built around a year-long, coach-supported Design Thinking process that empowers educators to tackle real challenges—whether rooted in their personal practice or in broader school initiatives. Participants are introduced to a wide range of thinking frameworks and systems navigation strategies, all designed to help them lead meaningful, mission-aligned change within their schools.

By the end of the experience, Design Lab participants are not only fluent in design thinking and change management but also equipped with new perspectives, expanded networks, and practical tools for long-term impact.

Any CIS Ontario educator at any level is welcome to participate.

Cohort 21 Design Lab Facilitators:
Tracy Facher, Deputy Head, Holy Trinity School
Garth Nichols, Head of School, Kingsway College School
