Holy Name of Mary College School is a CIS independent, post-secondary preparatory school for girls in grades 5-12 distinguished by an innovative academic programme and a values-based culture. Position Summary

We are looking for a progressive and innovative educator with intermediate/senior qualifications in mathematics and business who is confident delivering curriculum using primarily 21st Century pedagogy (i.e. personalized learning, constructivism, PBL). This person will have a proven track record of displaying a growth mindset, designing and delivering innovative lessons that achieve their rigour by asking students to try new things, and using assessment and evaluation methods that promote learning instead of measuring it. Student Life and community is a large part of who we are and what we do at HNMCS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education
• Be in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers
• Be collegial with a positive attitude
• Have a strong sense of professional growth and a willingness to try new approaches to teaching and learning
• Be committed to HNMCS, including its vibrant co-curricular programme
• Be comfortable with a flexible schedule that may require time outside of normal school hours

Commencement

• August 25, 2023 for new teacher orientation

• August 28, 2023 for all faculty and staff professional development
