Overview:

This ten month contract position (late August 2023 – June 2024) requires you to become fully involved in campus life, academics, athletics or arts. Under the direction of the Assistant Head of School, Academics and School Programs and the Division Directors, Supply Faculty provide support to the academic programs. Supply Faculty function as a team to ensure that the school’s Mission Statement is upheld. Supply Faculty provide class coverage as needed, on a daily basis.

RESPONSIBILITES:

Supply Faculty are expected to work as a team to support one another and the academic program and conduct the following:

• Attend breakfast daily.
• Get their daily teaching assignments, including tutoring and coaching.
• Attend assigned lunch and act as a “Table Head”.
• Attend staff meetings with the faculty as required.
• In an emergency, assist boarding by being on call during the day to cover emergency needs of boarding students.
• Coach a sports team or be staff advisor for a club.
• Chaperone school trips or sports teams as required.
• Work with a mentor teacher.
• Perform other duties as related, required or assigned.
• Assist with the After Care Program on a rotational basis. 

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

• University Graduate
• Bachelor of Education preferred
• Mature and responsible with initiative and leadership abilities
• Positive interpersonal skills and competent judgement
• Athletic/sports coaching interest
• Boarding experience an asset
• Superior time management skills
• 'E' Class Driver's Licence (not mandatory)
• First Aid/CPR/AED Certification
• A current Police Record Check is a condition of employment.
