Under the direction of the Director of Junior School or designate, the Teacher will provide support to the Pickering College student and program.   This position requires a person with a high level of energy, enthusiasm, patience, and professionalism.  This role commences in August 2023.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan, develop, teach and assess course curriculum
• Coordinate curriculum and purchases for the subject area
• Perform Duty and Lunch Table Supervision
• Coach/Co-ordinate co-curricular activities two terms (to be advised)
• Professional Duties
• Professional Development and Career Development Plan

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Bachelor of Education
• Primary/Junior qualifications
• Ontario College of Teachers certification or equivalent
• ESL experience an asset
• Strong technology background
• 3-5 years of Kindergarten Teaching experience preferred
• Demonstrate and articulate a passion for innovation and creativity in education
• Demonstrate commitment to students’ academic and personal success
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Reggio Training and related experience is an asset
• Independent School experience is an asset
• Co-curricular experience is an asset
