Education:

• Bachelor of Education, Ontario Teacher Certification 
• Experience: 3+ years experience teaching at Junior grade level  
• Experience developing/implementing Project/Inquiry Based Learning 

Additional Qualifications (asset) 

• Experience in a non-profit setting (asset) 
• Experience in an Independent School (asset)

Role Overview 

SMLS is seeking a Junior School (JS) Teacher.  The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Head of Junior School, Assistant Head of Junior School, and Junior School teaching team (JS1-JS5), and will be responsible for the development and delivery of creative and innovative inquiry based programming, while meeting the individual needs of all students in the classroom. 

The successful candidate is enthusiastic, articulate and a creative teacher who communicates with ease and confidence.
