Under the direction of the Executive Director of Boarding & Health Services, the ESL Teachers are responsible for planning, developing, delivering and evaluating course curriculum for the ESL Summer Camp for international students ages 12-17. The ESL Summer Camp is offered in 2 – four-week sessions (contract length is 9 weeks to include one week of training and preparation). The ESL teachers are required to assess and evaluate students using a range of assessment strategies and tools applicable to English Language Learners.
- Candidates are required to hold a Bachelor of Education with ESL qualifications and/or TESL Certification from TESL Ontario, in addition to holding an Ontario College of Teachers Certificate of Qualifications.
- This position requires excellent organizational, communication and problem-solving skills. Our teachers must possess the following qualities: passion, compassion, expertise in their subject area, instructional expertise, and curriculum innovation
