Under the direction of the ESL Summer Camp Directors, Counsellors are responsible for overseeing the physical, emotional and psychological care and development of international residential campers ages 12-18. This requires supervising campers both onsite and offsite, and ensuring that they have a happy and healthy experience. Counsellors will run after school activities for the campers including a variety of sports, arts & crafts and games, in addition to supervising campers on excursions in the local area and the GTA. This position requires strong leadership, excellent organizational, communication and problem solving skills. We are looking for candidates who will bring enthusiasm, creativity and a passion for learning and languages. Ideal candidates will have previous camp experience and must be pursuing post-secondary education. Preference will be given to candidates with experience with other cultures and languages. Previous experience or training working with English language learners is a definite asset. Counsellors are required to live on campus for the duration of the ESL program and must be available to work evenings and weekends.
