We invite applications for an exciting full-time opportunity at St. Andrew’s College in the role of English teacher reporting to the Deputy Head of School.
As a member of the English department, the individual in this role will collaborate with colleagues to ensure program excellence, with an expectation of high standards of learning, student progress, and support. In consultation with members of the department, the English teacher will be expected to prepare and deliver an innovative and inclusive curriculum, compelling instructional practices, and consistent department policy and alignment with the Growing Success criteria.
We seek applications from individuals who are certified teachers holding a Bachelor of Education, with an Honours Specialist in English and who have several years of experience teaching senior-level English, including AP courses. Candidates will bring a thorough understanding of the Ontario curriculum and the Growing Success requirements. Other key requisites of this role include demonstrated leadership and communication skills and a sustained commitment to professional growth and improvement. Additionally, we seek candidates with a demonstrated willingness to participate in and/or lead EDI((equity, diversity, and inclusion) initiatives within the community.
