For more than 45 years, Upper Canada College has offered unique summer experiences tailored to girls and boys ages 4 to 16. Our popular summer programs offer a range of exciting activities and learning opportunities that focus on developing new skills and having fun. Program areas include Sports Camps, which teach a variety of fundamentals to young athletes at the introductory and intermediate levels; Arts and Tech Camps, which provide creative and intellectual challenges for all ages and skill levels; and Kids Camps, which offer a broad selection of activities and sports for children ages 4 to 8.
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, curious and flexible Director for our Kids Camp. The successful candidate will have demonstrated a pattern of innovation, collaboration and engagement in learning and/or teaching young children (age 4-6), and share an eagerness to work with a variety of learners.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks
- Prepare and implement camp programming for Kids Camp; including modelling activities for campers and designing programming around various forms (painting, clay, cartoon etc);
- Oversee a program of 75 campers per week, between the ages of 4 and 6, and be able to quickly pivot plans to meet the different needs of a large group of campers;
- Manage a team of 14-16 staff per week and maintain strong and transparent communication with parents;
- Create an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere at Kids Camp;
- Effectively lead a team of Kids Camp Counsellors in daily activities and scheduling;
- Establish a positive and aspiring camp environment that best enables a diverse group of campers to flourish;
- Communicate effectively and in a timely manner with Camp Administrators;
- Work directly with camp families and manage all questions, concerns and inquiries regarding Kids Camp at UCC.
