Role Overview

SMLS has an opening for a Computer Science Teacher in our Senior School. The successful candidate is an enthusiastic, articulate and creative teacher who communicates with ease and confidence with all stakeholders (i.e. other teachers, students, parents, etc). The candidate will be a part of an inclusive learning community that allows different learners to thrive and prosper. They are an educator who never stops learning and continually seeks best practices in girls’ education to enrich their teaching. 

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience

We are seeking a dynamic, exemplary educator with the following key qualities and a willingness to continue to develop and grow as a professional:

  • Experience providing leadership and instruction in the following courses; ICS3U, ICS4U

  • Strong planning skills and demonstrated ability to create engaging programming 

  • Exemplary communication and collaboration skills 

  • Desire to seek opportunities that go above and beyond to contribute to a dynamic academic and co-curricular learning environment 

  • Comfortable engaging in innovative and diverse programming

  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience in supporting the social and emotional needs of students

  • Critical thinker who demonstrates initiative, integrity and attention to detail
