Branksome Hall
Branksome Hall

Innovation is more than a buzzword. It’s a mindset that transcends any and all current and future technology. You have the vision and foresight to know that innovation is the key to shaping a better world – and most importantly it can be taught, modeled and can change the trajectory of a young person’s life.

Join our dynamic – dare we say – innovative team at Branksome Hall. As the Chief Innovation Officer (CIO) reporting to the Principal, you will drive the strategic direction, vision and blueprint for the future of innovation, technology and entrepreneurship at the school. You are a facilitator, coach and seasoned leader. Furthermore, you will have the unique opportunity to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in spearheading the creation and operation of the Innovation Centre and Studio Theatre (iCAST), the first of its kind and scheduled to open its doors in 2025. This state-of-the-art facility will provide a platform for students and faculty to explore new ideas, experiment with cutting-edge technologies, and collaborate on innovative, ground-breaking and high-impact programs for students from JK-Grade 12.

With a passion and commitment to tip the scales for women in STEM, entrepreneurship and the Arts, the CIO is the visionary who leads curriculum innovation and integration, capacity building for employees, technology support and infrastructure, and industry partnerships. You will also engage with the school’s Innovation Council, an advisory body of leading-edge experts and entrepreneurs, to identify opportunities and partnerships that can turn into concrete programs, ensuring Branksome and our students stay ahead of the curve.

Speaking of staying ahead of the curve, you will leverage your entrepreneurial spirit to grow Branksome’s NOODLE program, the school’s signature student business incubator program.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

As the ideal candidate you hold a degree in computer science/engineering, technology/innovation and/or education leadership, and you bring progressive senior leadership experience in technology and innovation, ideally in an educational environment. An educator at heart with a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, your experience as an entrepreneur or in a startup environment will be an asset.

With expertise in developing and implementing curriculum innovation and leading change, you are a visionary and a team-builder who inspires confidence and engages with a range of stakeholders internally and externally.

You bring deep knowledge of leading-edge technologies to drive strategy, including applications in an educational environment, organizational systems and data analytics.
