Reporting to the Principal and a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) provides strategic and operational leadership to key school-wide functions and initiatives. The CFO is responsible for Branksome’s financial management, strategic risk management, property and facilities management, food services, and revenue generating auxiliary programs. The new CFO arrives at an exciting time of campus development and provides leadership to the construction of the Innovation Centre and Studio Theatre. This world-class space will be the first of its kind for any JK-Grade 12 institution in Canada. This multi-dimensional role applies a sophisticated lens to enterprise risk management. The CFO provides proactive advice and support to the leadership team and the Board, aligning the school’s strategic and financial goals.

As the ideal candidate, you bring progressive experience in senior finance and operations roles and have strong leadership skills. With a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, you are a values-driven leader, and a strategic business partner with a passion for innovation and collaboration. Ideally, you have experience working with a non-profit Board, are well versed in the financial logistics related to fundraising, and have generated new streams of revenue. Experience in financing and overseeing the construction of large capital projects will be a significant advantage in this role. You have exceptional communications skills and the ability to build collegial relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including employees, students, parents, and community partners. A high level of emotional intelligence will be demonstrated through your leadership style and your ability to inspire and mentor a collegial and high performing team. Candidates should hold a CPA designation and an undergraduate degree.
