Experience: 1-3 + years’ experience supporting students’ learning needs (Ages 10-18)
Coordination and administration of accommodations during assessments
Assisting with administrative tasks such as meeting coordination and planning
Implementation of skill building and other programming for students in the Student Success Centre
Classroom Teaching Experience (a definite asset)
Experience in a non-profit setting (asset)
Experience in an Independent School (asset)

SMLS has an opening for a Student Success Teaching Assistant (50%) to help support our students in our Student Success Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support for Learning Strategies department and working with students from Junior to Senior School in a variety of capacities. The successful candidate will be responsible for the organization and administration of assessments in the Student Success Centre and for providing skill building sessions for students.
The successful candidate is an articulate and creative coordinator/educator who communicates with ease and confidence with a variety of stakeholders (e.g. students, faculty & staff, parents, etc). The candidate will be a part of an inclusive learning community that allows different learners to thrive and prosper. The candidate will be comfortable engaging in innovative and diverse programming. The candidate will be a critical thinker who demonstrates initiative, integrity and attention to detail.
They are a person who has a desire to learn more about meeting the needs of our students and someone who never stops learning and continually seeks best practices in girls’ education to enrich their professional practice.
