Based in central Ottawa, Ashbury College has an opening for a Junior School Teacher, responsible for Grade 5 Form room, Grade 5 Social Studies, Grade 6 Social Studies, Grade 7 Core French, Grade 8 Core French, Junior School Yearbook, and other extra-curricular activities, supervision duties and school trips.
As the successful candidate, you have a history of school and volunteer involvement, bringing enthusiasm and energy to the classroom, thriving in a busy learning community, working collaboratively with colleagues, and leading co-curricular activities. Your teaching practice includes current learning theories, technology and creative course design and delivery.
Education, Experience and Qualifications:
- Ontario Teacher Certification
- B.A. or M.A. in Social Studies or French
- Minimum 5 years’ experience teaching Grades 5 to 8
- Evidence of teaching that has been enhanced by technology
- Fluency in oral and written French
- International Baccalaureate experience an asset
