Located in Port Hope, Ontario, Trinity College School (TCS) is a leading co-educational boarding and day school for approximately 550 young people from Grades 5-12. Founded in 1865, the School places a balanced emphasis on academics, service learning, athletics and the arts. The School is currently looking to fill the following position for September 2018:
MATH & SCIENCE
LONG TERM OCCASIONAL TEACHER
(Grades 9—12, Long Term Occasional, January—June 2019)
The preferred candidate holds a degree in math or science and is passionate about teaching in these disciplines at the secondary school level (Grade 9—12). The successful candidate will have the opportunity to co-teach and cover a variety of math and science courses at the School. Working within a lively community of students and educators, the position requires energy, creativity, organizational skills, collegiality and a strong commitment to continual improvement. The candidate will be familiar with current curricular trends and will have thorough competency when it comes to the integration of technology in the classroom.
A member of the Ontario College of Teachers, the successful candidate will be a core member of the both the math and science departments and will be fully engaged in the co-curricular life of the School, including working with the performing arts, athletics, and/or service learning.
