Education: Post Secondary Education in child related field
Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE)
Standard First Aid Certification (Current)
Experience: 3 + years’ experience caring for school aged children (Preschool-Grade 5)
Experience in an Independent School
Experience in a non-profit setting (asset)
Working Conditions: Office Environment, Mac, Google

SMLS has an opening for a Preschool and Afternoon Extended Day Teacher to help support the programming in our Preschool classroom and our afternoon aftercare program.
Preschool Teacher responsibilities include:
Implementing a developmentally appropriate preschool program for young children
Supervising children in the Preschool classroom
Communicating with parents and members of the community
Maintaining program administration
Performing other related duties as required
Afternoon Extended Day responsibilities include:
Supervising children from Preschool to Grade Five (5).
Developing age appropriate activities that support the growth and development of our students
Ensure monthly billing in relation to Extended Day program is complete
