About This Faculty Role

HTS has an exciting LTO opportunity to join our team in February 2018.

We require a Senior School (Grades 9-12) Physical Education Teacher. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a program that is dynamic and skills based and for creating an engaging learning environment that will enable all students to fulfill their potential. We are seeking an individual who is energetic, skilled and creative, and who can communicate with ease and confidence.

We are inviting candidates with the following qualifications to apply:

  • Ontario Teacher Certification with PHE qualifications in the Senior Division;

  • Experience/ knowledge of the grade 12 Kinesiology and Healthy Active living;

  • Familiarity with new Ministry Physical Education and Health Curriculum;

  • Significant experience teaching Physical and Health education;

  • Experience in the Independent School environment is an asset;

  • Comfort with, and enthusiasm for, the use of technology in the classroom;

  • The willingness and ability to collaborate with fellow teachers.
