James MacDonald, Director, Communications and Public Affairs at Ornge


James MacDonald is the Director of Communications and Public Affairs at Ornge, where he is responsible for overseeing communications, community and government relations functions for Ontario's provider of air ambulance and related services. Prior to joining Ornge, James spent more than a decade in television journalism working as an anchor, reporter, producer and editor for a number of Canadian television news outlets, including CBC, CTV, CP24 and CHCH Television, as well as a three year term as CNN International's Hong Kong-based Features Producer for the Asia-Pacific region. James has taught post-secondary journalism courses at Conestoga College and Sheridan College, and is currently a part-time faculty member in Media Studies at the University of Guelph-Humber, where he teaches courses in media and public relations, media business, event management and career development. He has a BA from the University of Guelph, a Master of Arts degree from Western University, and is a graduate of the Program for Leadership Development at Harvard Business School.

The annual CIS Ontario Education Law Symposium is a professional learning opportunity for Heads of School or their designate. In addition, Heads are welcome to register up to 3 additional members of their school leadership team. There is no registration cost for this event.
