Dr. Stan Kutcher, internationally renowned adolescent and child mental health expert, academic leader, professor at Dalhousie University's department of psychiatry and the Sun Life Financial Chair in Adolescent Mental Health and former director World Health Organization Collaborating Centre in Mental Health Policy and Training at Dalhousie University and IWK Health Centre in Canada, will be our guest speaker Monday, Nov. 19 at 6:30PM.
The evening's program will include an accurate definition of mental health, insights on current-day stress and anxiety in youth, what clinicians are seeing in their practices and how best to support each child's growth and journey.
Dr. Kutcher will provide guidance for parents on how to raise healthy children in today's complex world and an understanding of the important roles played by family and school to ensure mentally healthy and successful futures.
