Future Skills Institute 2020


The Future Skills Institute is designed to empower educators to build classrooms of the future. This action-packed, hands-on professional learning experience will provide educators with immediately applicable methods and tools that can be use in the classroom or school to build creativity, collaboration, communication and critical thinking skills in students.

Part 2 - Deep Dive into Remote Inquiry with Sessions for Elementary and Senior

Deep Dive in Remote Inquiry in the Elementary Years (JK to 6)*

Times:

Synchronous Cohort A

  • August 24th & 25th from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Synchronous Cohort B

  • August 27th & 28th from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

NOTE: You have the option to select either cohort however, CIS Ontario requires a minimum of 25 participants in both sessions. If minimums are not met you will be given the option to move to the scheduled session or your registration cancelled.

Registration Fees:

  • $275.00 per participant

Elementary Division Group Registration Rates:

  • 5 - 9 teachers $265.00 per participant
  • 10+ teachers $255.00 per participant

*Participation in Part 2 is not dependant on enrolment in Part 1.

Deep Dive into Remote Inquiry in the Middle and Senior Years (Grades 7 – 12)

Times:

Synchronous Cohort A

  • August 24th & 25th from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Synchronous Cohort B

  • August 27th & 28th from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

NOTE: You have the option to select either cohort however, CIS Ontario requires a minimum of 25 participants in both sessions. If minimums are not met you will be given the option to move to the scheduled session or your registration cancelled.

Fees:

  • $275.00 per participant

Senior Division Group Registration Rates:

  • 5 - 9 teachers $265.00 per participant
  • 10+ teachers $255.00 per participant

NOTE: Group rates are not combined for Junior and Senior participants.


**Your school will be billed accordingly. A registration form is required for each participant, and group discounts will be applied at time of invoicing.

CANCELLATION POLICY

CIS Ontario reserves the right to cancel an event if there is insufficient enrollment. In this unlikely situation, participants will be notified well in advance of the event and given a full refund.

REFUND POLICY

Refunds will be granted in full, four weeks prior to the event. A $50.00 processing fee will apply. Cancellations should be emailed to the attention of Sheri Little (slittle@cisontario.ca). If cancelling within the four week period a partial refund may be issued at the discretion of CIS Ontario.

Participant substitutions are welcome at our events. If a registered participant is unable to attend, please notify Sheri Little with the name of the participant who will attend as a substitute.

Please note, participant lists that include contact details will be shared with other participants of the event and this may include vendors if there is a sponsorship component.
