Faculty of Education Students — Discover Career Opportunities in Ontario’s Independent Schools

CIS Ontario participates in education career fairs throughout the school year at universities across Ontario and at McGill in Montreal. These events are a valuable way for Faculty of Education students and soon-to-be graduates to connect directly with representatives from independent schools, ask questions, and explore current job opportunities.

While online research is helpful, speaking face-to-face with teachers and administrators offers first-hand insight into the unique culture, expectations, and rewards of working in our Ontario member independent school communities.

CIS Ontario does not hire directly, but at these fairs, we proudly represent a diverse network of member schools—each with its own mission and educational approach—and help connect educators with meaningful career paths across the province.

The Value of Professional Representation at Recruitment Fairs


CIS Ontario is seeking experienced leaders to represent our member independent schools at upcoming recruitment fairs for the 2026/2027 season.

We invite Heads of School, Senior Academic Leaders, and HR Professionals to join our volunteer roster. Your expertise is invaluable in helping prospective educators understand the professional advantages, collaborative environment, and career opportunities available within our community.

Don't worry about the commitment—joining the roster doesn't lock you in for every event. We encourage you to sign up for as many as you're interested in, and you can confirm your availability as they come up!
