Trinity College School: Black History Month lessons have lasting impact

Students and staff at Trinity College School worked to celebrate and educate throughout Black History Month in February. The Senior School’s Black Student Alliance hosted a series of events honouring Black culture and contributions, including music and food; led a virtual assembly for the Junior School; and organized the second annual Black Alumni Career Night which was a great success. In the Junior School, the Allies Against Racism held a “Hate Has No Home Here” fundraiser and led informative assembly presentations, while faculty, in partnership with Grade 9 leaders, embedded lessons throughout the curriculum celebrating Black history, culture and excellence.
