- Student Programs
On October 18, 2024, Lauremont School proudly hosted the Thrive Student Leaders – Student Presenter Training Day, bringing together 40 ambitious student leaders from seven CIS Ontario schools for a day of collaboration, skill-building, and vision-setting. This event was designed to equip students with the tools needed to deliver impactful workshops and plan the much-anticipated Thrive Student Leaders event - which Ridley College will host on November 29.
Throughout the day, participants learned about the essential elements of effective workshop delivery. They explored techniques for active facilitation and crafting engaging content to inspire their peers. Each activity encouraged students to think strategically about their mode of delivery and tools for generating solutions to real problems.
A collaborative spirit was at the heart of the workshop, as students exchanged ideas across schools, sharing diverse perspectives and approaches. Together, they began laying the foundation for the Thrive Student Leaders event, envisioning a program that champions student voice, resilience, and service.
