Introducing our newest team member – Jeremy Barr, Event Manager

Please join CIS Ontario in welcoming our newest team member, Jeremy Barr.

Jeremy joins us in the role of Event Manager. Some of you may know Jeremy from his previous role at CAIS where he was the Conference Coordinator until 2017. An event specialist, he brings 10 years of event management experience from both the education and hospitality sectors. As Director of Event Services at The Opinicon Resort and Event Manager at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa and Stonefields Estate in Carleton Place, Jeremy planned and executed countless events from music festivals to conferences, and many, many, many weddings! Excited to return to the education sector, Jeremy looks forward to reconnecting with the independent school community within CIS Ontario.

Jeremy will be responsible for the stewardship of our sponsorship program and managing all CIS Ontario events: professional learning and student programs. Having planned and executed events for CAIS, Jeremy’s knowledge of and relationships with many of our CIS Ontario member schools provide him with a deep understanding of the independent school ecosystem and the needs of our member school employees and students.

When he’s not working, Jeremy can be found boating in his home town of Westport or hitting the slopes as an avid snowboarder.

Our team is very excited to welcome Jeremy in time for back-to-school 2023. There is no question our member schools will benefit from his enthusiasm and experience when attending their next association event. Please join us in welcoming Jeremy to CIS Ontario!
