Catherine Hant, Principal, Junior School at The Bishop Strachan School to assume Head of School role at St. Mildred's-Lightbourn School

Catherine Hant, Principal, Junior School at The Bishop Strachan School since 2017, will assume the role of Head of School at St. Mildred’s-Lightbourn School. She has a strong personal connection to St. Mildred’s, having attended from Grades 4 to 6 while her father served as the school’s Chaplain. Catherine started at BSS in 1994 as a Health and Physical Education specialist. She then moved into the classroom. After several years of teaching, she spent 18 years in administrative roles, including Primary Division Head, Junior School Admissions and Student Services Coordinator, Director of Admissions and Vice Principal of the Junior School. Catherine’s impact has been felt across campus and will be felt even after she leaves. She has grown as a leader at BSS and is ready to take on this new challenge as Head of St. Mildred’s-Lightbourn School. We are excited for her. She will start on July 4, 2023. We are now actively recruiting for her replacement.
